POLICE seize 5,000 counterfeit items from a warehouse in Manises, Valencia

Local police officers in the Valencian community of Manises have arrested a local man who is alleged to be the head of an organization that specializes in importing counterfeit goods with the intention of selling them on the street.

His arrest was the result of a special surveillance operation by local city police to investigate reports of alleged sales in the area of ​​counterfeit goods harming local Manises shops.

Valencia local police officers then raided a warehouse in Manises, where they discovered and confiscated a collection of more than 5,000 counterfeit items, with an estimated street value of € 200,000.

According to sources from local Manises police, as reported on lasprovincias.es, the arrested person would have paid around 60,000 euros when buying these counterfeit items from his supplier, so that he could achieve a very high profit if he then sold the goods for 200,000 euros.

The forgeries seized included clothing and shoes from large fashion companies and recognized brands in the industry, as well as accessories and cosmetics such as perfumes, all of which were counterfeit and of course without any guarantee for the consumer.
