Dobsonville SAPS fights crime, arrest after arrest


Dobsonville SAPS are conducting daily operations, referred to as Disruptive Operations, which began on February 1st.

Led by Station Commander Brigadier Ngubane and Vispol Commander Colonel Lengau, daily operations aim to combat and increase police visibility within the community.

These operations are intended to continue continuously as they have made a positive contribution to the community.

“There has been a drastic drop in our crime statistics, particularly our contact crimes, which include murders, assaults and malicious damage to one’s property,” spokeswoman Vusi Thokwan said.

He went on to say that this is the result of our seizure of dangerous weapons and illegal substances, counterfeit goods and the cessation of illegal liquor sales on a daily basis.

They have arrested 43 suspects in these operations since February 1 and seized 2 firearms, 117 knives, 1,113 counterfeit goods, hired 9 illegal alcohol sellers and 335 drugs including crystal meth and nyaope.

Dobsonville Station Commander Brigadier Ngubane recognizes the members of the SAPS for their dedication and effort in these operations and cautions the community to desist from illegal activities.
